LUONG VAN CAN FOUNDATION STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN “PERSONAL FINANCE MANAGEMENT SKILLS” TRAINING

On April 5, 2026, the Luong Van Can Foundation successfully organized a training workshop on “Personal Finance,” led by Mr. Le Hoang Linh – educator, trainer, personal finance consultant, and Director of Fin4p. During the session, Mr. Linh helped students reshape their financial mindset and gain a new perspective on how financial decisions reflect their values and priorities.

At the beginning of the program, Mr. Linh introduced a fresh perspective: personal finance is essentially the ability to understand one’s priorities at different stages of life and make effective decisions on resource allocation. This capacity is built on four basic pillars:

  • (+) ADDITION: The ability to generate income;
  • (-) SUBTRACTION: The ability to spend wisely;
  • (*) MULTIPLICATION: The ability to manage and multiply cash flow;
  • (/) DIVISION: The ability to teach and share financial knowledge.

Through the interactive activity “The Mystery Money Box,” students practiced problem-solving by developing action plans and allocating resources according to the needs of each scenario. From this experience, Mr. Linh summarized a three-step process for addressing financial challenges effectively. First, students need to clearly understand their personal, family, and especially social contexts. Understanding what is happening around them requires long-term observation and continuous refinement. Next, they analyze and evaluate the issue at hand. Finally, they implement appropriate solutions.

To guide students toward long-term financial peace of mind, Mr. Linh used the metaphor of farming stages to illustrate the planning process. The starting point is always “knowing oneself” and understanding the current foundation of one’s family and society. After setting clear goals, students need to continuously measure their progress while developing contingency plans for potential risks. In particular, taking regular breaks to recharge is an essential part of sustaining long-term progress.

During the Q&A session, Mr. Linh addressed students’ questions on optimizing idle cash flow and managing expenses. Regarding idle funds, he emphasized the principle of “investing in core capabilities”: prioritizing time and financial resources to strengthen one’s core competencies; carefully studying the cycles of different asset classes instead of following the crowd; and building meaningful relationships. Wealth, he noted, will naturally follow from this process.

The training session concluded in an open atmosphere, leaving students with valuable lessons on personal finance and problem-solving methods. The Luong Van Can Foundation would like to express our sincere thanks to Mr. Le Hoang Linh for his dedicated sharing. We believe that, after the program, students have gained a stronger foundation to confidently take charge of their own financial journey.
