The Luong Van Can Foundation has empowered me to nurture my passion and pursue ambitious goals. That spirit has stayed with me throughout my academic journey abroad, as I completed my PhD program and continued on the path ahead with a postdoctoral research position at Harvard Medical School. The support and encouragement from the Management Board and the Alumni community have always been a constant source of inspiration, giving me the motivation to keep improving.

I am currently a Doctor in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine. I just graduated from the residency program at Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2025. I had received a scholarship from the Luong Van Can Foundation for 9 years, from my first year of university through my postgraduate studies.

The Foundation provided financial support and offered opportunities to learn English, attend skill-building courses, and connect with experienced seniors through the Mentorship program. I was impressed by the classes on financial management and meditation. They helped me balance life and study, manage my personal finances, and control my emotions. Besides, I participated in community projects, which taught me howme how to share and take responsibility for society motivated by the "pay it forward" spirit. I am truly grateful for becoming a member of the Luong Van Can Foundation. It is one of the most memorable milestones in my life.

Over 10 years ago, I was one the first generation to receive a scholarship from the Luong Van Can Foundation. Beyond providing financial support for my education, the Foundation fostered in me a spirit of service, kindness, ambition, and community responsibility. The Foundation has shaped the way we live, the way we work, and the paths we choose to follow. Now, as a mentor in the 'Mentorship' program, I deeply appreciate my journey. I am proud to pay it forward by spreading values of kindness and helping students develop their mindsets and capabilities, just as the Foundation nurtured me.

By organizing activities, such as training sessions for the Student Club and the Community Project program, I established a foundation to develop my skills in communication, teamwork, leadership, and event management. The Foundation's Community Project program taught me how to observe, listen, and understand the needs of the community. This experience helped me take responsibility for my community, and it continues to shape how I connect with others and grow today

Without the Luong Van Can Foundation, I would not be who I am today. I had dreamed of opening a grocery store in Cao Bang. With support from the Luong Van Can Foundation, I achieved greater aspirations, including earning scholarships to study in the UK and the US, communicating confidently in English, and inspiring younger students. Thanks to the training sessions on CV writing and public speaking, as well as the dedicated support of my mentors, I even had the opportunity to work at VTV and VTC, and participate in activities with various embassies. These experiences helped me truly believe in myself and go beyond my limits.

Some people think scholarships provide financial support for students. Yet, the Luong Van Can Foundation offers more than that. It creates a community where students from different generations are willing to share with and support one another. Through the "Mentorship" program, I had the opportunity to connect directly with senior professionals in the Finance industry. If I had not been a student at the Luong Van Can Foundation, I would not have met them. I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to the wonderful mentors who have guided me throughout this mentorship journey and even during the first steps of my career.
