Outstanding community projects, academic year 2023-2024
The Community Project is a key initiative of the Luong Van Can Talent Fund (LVCF). Participation in the program provides students with the opportunity to develop teamwork skills, enhance their abilities in planning, organizing, and executing projects, and gain a practical understanding of disadvantaged communities and the challenges they face in Vietnam. Through students’ initiatives, LVCF aims to promote the spirit of giving and contribute to the development of society, even in the face of personal challenges.
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the Community Project Program received a diverse range of ideas and projects submitted by students. These initiatives were categorized into two groups:
- Individual/Group Student Activities within the Fund
- Activities in Collaboration with Social Organizations in a Supporting Role
Throughout the program, the Luong Van Can Fund continuously supported participating groups in implementing ideas and overcoming challenges encountered in real-life project execution.
After six months of implementation, the program has officially concluded. The outstanding projects that met the evaluation criteria included:

Recognizing that books are a valuable source of knowledge that can support children in learning, discovering new interests, and broadening their horizons, the group has planned to collaborate with the 3 Goc Community Library to donate a bookcase to the children at My Lam Compassion School for Disabilities (Kien Giang). This initiative will help the children access new books, fostering a love for reading and showcasing the benefits of literacy.
Additionally, the group will collaborate with the school to organize an extracurricular cultural activity, providing children with opportunities to play and learn together.
Finally, the group will launch a donation campaign to fund the repair of 11 classroom roofs, which have deteriorated and pose challenges during the rainy season. Their goal is to provide children with a safe, airy, and comfortable learning environment.

Project Summary
Currently, inclusive education is being implemented in our country to promote equality between students with disabilities and their peers, both within the educational environment and in society at large. However, in practice, this model faces numerous challenges, particularly in teaching methods, human resources, and access to learning materials for students with disabilities, especially visually impaired students.
To address some of these pressing issues, the Lecture Video Project – A Solution to Support Visually Impaired Students in Inclusive Education was established to assist visually impaired students in self-learning mathematics. The project provides lecture videos that closely align with the standard mathematics curriculum, featuring content, presentation, and teaching methods tailored to the needs of visually impaired students.
As a result, this lecture system not only supports instruction but also serves as a substitute for physical textbooks, addressing the unique learning needs of visually impaired students. Additionally, it is a valuable resource for parents and teachers to monitor and support students’ progress in mathematics.
