Luong Van Can Foundation organized “Finance & Career” Training Program for the 2024–2025 Academic Year

Personal finance is a core component of the skill development curriculum at the Luong Van Can Foundation. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the foundation continued this important initiative by hosting the training program “Finance & Career” in person in Ho Chi Minh City. The program welcomed students from both the Luong Van Can Foundation and the VietHope Scholarship Fund and was facilitated by four experienced speakers: Ms. Soi Tran Dung Ngoc Lien, Mr. Dang Ngoc Thang, Ms. Le Thuy Bao Tram, and Mr. Vu The Quang.

Building on the success of the previous year’s program, returning speakers Ms. Lien, Mr. Quang, and Ms. Tram – representing the MoneyWe organization—provided students with fresh perspectives on the evolving financial landscape and today’s job market. The session began with a collaborative activity: the MoneyWe card game, designed to introduce key personal finance concepts through hands-on experience. This engaging activity helped students understand that personal finance is, at its core, personal – each individual makes unique decisions about how they manage money, what they spend it on, and for whom, all within the context of their own values and limits.

Beyond finance, the program also helped students reflect on their career aspirations and better understand their professional worth – especially in the context of salary negotiation. Speakers guided students toward adopting a proactive and confident approach when interacting with employers, shifting away from the conventional “job-seeking” mindset. This empowered students to see themselves not just as applicants, but as valuable contributors with clear goals and negotiating power.

The Luong Van Can Foundation sincerely thanks the speakers and the MoneyWe organization for their continued support and dedication to student development. With their guidance, students gained essential knowledge and practical tools to better manage their finances and take control of their future careers.
