LUONG VAN CAN FOUNDATION STUDENTS PRACTICE OPTIMIZING CVS AND COVER LETTERS USING AI PROMPTS

o better prepare students for their job application journey, on May 10, 2026, the Luong Van Can Foundation organized a practical training session on applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to job description (JD) analysis, CV writing, and cover letter customization.

Before exploring AI tools, students were guided on how to present a professional CV and effectively communicate their motivation through a well-structured cover letter. The session also introduced a practical framework to help students strengthen their competitiveness in the eyes of employers:

  • Can do: Clearly demonstrate your competencies and what you are capable of doing;
  • Will do: Highlight the specific value and contributions you can bring to the organization;
  • Will fit: Show your compatibility with the company’s culture and environment.

The highlight of the workshop was the hands-on session on using AI to support the application preparation process. Students practiced designing prompts based on the framework: Role – Task – Context – Format – Evidence.

By applying this framework, students learned how to turn AI into an effective assistant for quickly analyzing job descriptions, identifying relevant keywords that match their competencies and expertise, and highlighting the knowledge and skills most aligned with the positions they are applying for.

By the end of the training session, students had not only enhanced their digital skills but also gained a broader perspective on how AI can support the job application process. The Luong Van Can Foundation believes that the knowledge and practical experience gained from the session will help students confidently prepare their application profiles and present themselves effectively to prospective employers.
