
10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION, SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS, ORIENTATION PROGRAM & CAMP FOR STUDENTS OF THE 2024-2025 ACADEMIC YEAR
On the morning of October 4th, Luong Van Can Foundation held a solemn ceremony to celebrate its 10th anniversary at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH). The event was honored by the presence of numerous distinguished guests, including:
- Ms. Sarah Hooper – Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City
- Ms. Nguyen Minh Tam – Director of Norfolk Group
- Mr. Nguyen Viet Chi – General Director of Viet Chi Hung Real Estate Joint Stock Company
- Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Thanh Binh – Former Central Party Committee Member, Former Standing Committee Member of the National Assembly, and Former Director of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City
- Dr. Nguyen Duc Nghia – Former Deputy Director of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City and Chairman of Luong Van Can Scholarship Selection Council
- Mr. Huynh Quang Hai – Standing Member of the Board of Directors of VSIP Group and Member of Luong Van Can Scholarship Selection Council
The event also featured mentors, trainers, and alumni across various generations of the Foundation With a formal yet warm atmosphere, the ceremony served as a chance for Luong Van Can Foundation to express its gratitude to the sponsors, partners, and individuals who have supported its journey over the past decade. Notably, the program received attention from alumni worldwide. Through letters and videos, they conveyed images of Luong Van Can students who are dynamic, ambitious, and confident in their career paths.
On the same morning, at the hall of UEH, the Foundation held a scholarship award ceremony for 130 students and an orientation session for new Luong Van Can scholarship recipients for the 2024-2025 academic year. All recipients have demonstrated outstanding academic records, resilience, a passion for learning, and clear future goals.


Following the scholarship ceremony, students participated in the Foundation’s orientation program and traditional camp, themed “Beyond the Sky – When Limits are not the Sky.” The camp aimed to help students overcome challenges and continually explore and develop themselves. As part of the program, students had the honor of listening to Mrs. Xuan Phuong, – a figure renowned as the “Iron Woman” of Vietnamese painting. At the age of 95, Director Xuan Phuong has led many different lives, ventured into various professions, and overcome extraordinary challenges.In the evening, students took part in traditional camp activities that evening, including cultural performances and group games. This year also saw the introduction of a new event, the Forum Theatre, which provided an engaging experience encouraging self-reflection on personal decisions. In a warm, safe environment free from technology, students exchanged sentiments of youth and ambition,creating lasting memories at Luong Van Can Foundation.


As part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations, on the evening of October 6th, 2024, generations of Luong Van Can alumni from 2015 to the present gathered with mentors and the Foundation’s Management Board for a friendly reunion. This gathering not only allowed alumni to reconnect but also provided an opportunity for networking and collaboration in both their professional and personal lives.
On this occasion, the program also celebrated 35 students who recently completed their undergraduate studies with a “Graduation Ceremony” organized by student committee members. This simple yet warm event served as a congratulatory message to the new Doctors, Pharmacists, Engineers, and Graduates, as they step into the next chapter of their lives, as well as a welcome to new members joining Luong Van Can Foundation alumni community.
